Do you offer discounts, package rate or pro-bono session?
The first introductory session is pro-bono. We feel it is important that you understand what coaching can bring to your life in order to get you stimulated at the perspective of getting coached before signing up. We offer 3 types of package rates with a decreasing average price per session as the number of sessions increases.
How long and how often would I have to meet my coach?
There are no rules. You should be completely free to make that decision. It will all depend on how you feel about your progress and your individual circumstances. We rarely work with less than 4 sessions and would suggest planning on at least 4 sessions to start with. These sessions are usually held every other week, or every three weeks. It will all depend on the intensity of your objectives and your availability to work in-between sessions.
Can I choose to take individual sessions without signing for a package?
Coaching is a process by which you talk through your challenge(s) or areas of desired improvement and set actions from one session to the next. You need to be prepared to invest time, effort and money in order to successfully reach your goal, and a minimum of four sessions is what it takes. On occasions, a client may wish to hire a single session and uses it as a sounding board to make a decision. This option is available to you, as long as you are aware that this would not be a coaching session in the technical sense.
Can I decide not to pursue with further sessions after the introductory session?
The introductory session is a way for us to get to know each other. This is when you will share the issue/topic you would like to work on. In the form of a discussion we will agree on how to work together in the coming weeks/months. Usually, by the end of the introductory session, clients really want to get going with their first coaching session. But If you feel that this might not be the right time for you, you will be free to stop right there. Please note that we will not resolve your goal in this first session.
What happens if I sign up for a set of sessions and want to stop in the middle of it?
Once you sign up for a package it is because you have the intention to go after your goal. If your situation changes, you will have the option to stop and use the number of sessions left at a later date. Should you request a refund, you will be charged the number of sessions used at the regular hourly rate and be credited the remaining difference.
Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want to work on before I initiate contact with a Coach?
You don’t need to know exactly what to say to your coach on your very first contact. Don't worry and relax! Your coach will help you by asking questions and guiding you through the process. Chances are that if you want a coach, you already have some idea, or picture in mind, of the direction you want to take. Your coach is there to help you refine the direction you want to take and move to a higher purpose in life.
Where would we meet?
We conduct our sessions over Skype. Skype is a free VOIP communication channel (Voice Over Internet Protocol). In this busy world our clients really appreciate this facility as they can work with their coach in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their own environment. They are able to save time from commuting back and forth; Time which can be better used towards working on their action points to help them come one step closer to their goal. Video is optional, we can talk to each other with no video interface, this will be your choice. If you own a PC, but do not have Skype installed, click on this link to learn how to Skype.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(Private coaching sessions)
Do I need a coach, a mentor, a consultant, a counselor or a therapist?
All five of them are there to help you. However, each does it with a different approach and addresses different sets of issues. The MENTOR might work with those who are seeking direction from someone with experience and knowledge in the same area, and will give clear logical advice. The CONSULTANT might work with an individual or group of individuals looking to diagnose the problem they are facing and recommend a tailored solution to their current challenges. The COUNSELOR might work with those who are experiencing significant levels of distress which is impacting on their everyday lives. A counsellor will listen to the concerns and anxieties suffered by the client. The THERAPIST might work with those who are seen as emotionally damaged or suffer from some level of dysfunctionality as a result of previous trauma/experience, which makes their day-to-day life very difficult for them. A therapist helps clients to explore their past in order to uncover specific issues. The COACH works with clients around their desire to move forward in their lives and achieve ambitions. A coach will encourage and support the client to move forward.
If you feel that some past issues may hold you back and prevent you from moving forward, you may consider hiring a therapist and a coach at the same time. The therapist will help you resolve past issues, while the coach will help you move forward to follow your desired life. Although many therapists can also be trained coaches, if you intend to address past issues and the future at the same time, it is preferable to use the two different professionals seperately (i.e. Therapist and Coach).
